Cycling holidays in Torquay and Devon
Cycling around the English Riviera and Devon is always a pleasure and there is always something new to try. The national cycle network (http://www.sustrans.org.uk) links Torquay and Paignton to Newton Abbot, Totnes and the rest of Devon. There are plenty of off and on road routes to suit all types or cyclist.
Bikes can be hired locally within Torquay and there are bus (with bike trailer) and train services that link to Dartmoor to allow you to explore the beauty of Dartmoor on bike. If you fancy venturing further, Plymouth and Exeter have dedicated bike tracks setup by the forestry commission, they have a wide range of courses from the gentle family circular routes to the extreme downhill jump tracks.
